Second update on proposed STR restrictions in Buncombe County providing some much needed clarity

We have had some good news and existing short term rentals will be allowed to continue even after transfer of deed which is a huge relief.

The final meeting on this issue by the Buncombe County Planning Board will be held on April 22nd at 5:30pm in A-B Tech's Ferguson Auditorium. At that time, a final public hearing and vote will be held. Recommendations will then be sent on to the Board of Commissioners who will also hold a public hearing and vote to decide on which changes to make into law.

There is much more to WNC than Asheville, take a look at some of the communities that you may be missing by limiting your search

Asheville is a great city. It is full of bohemian charm, eclectic art, a fun brew scene, and delicious culinary delights. But if you are limiting your search to just the city of Asheville, you may be selling yourself short. There are a lot of great communities and small towns within a short drive of the city where you can gain even more mountain charm without the city noise, traffic, and let's face it...urban unsavoriness.
Today I want to show you some of the communities that are available right outside of the city limits that may offer you just what you are looking for. And by being outside of the city limits, if you are looking for a short term rental where you can rent the entire property, these are the places to look.
    #1 Candler

Candler is located a short 15 minute drive to the west and has one of the few lakefront communities in the area. Above is the community of Biltmore Lake, a peaceful neighborhood of homes set around a lake that offers non-motorized watersports, a fitn! ...
