The story goes that we are all supposed to go outside tonight at 6:00 and ring a bell to help push Santa's sleigh across the skies so that he has time to get to all of the children around the world tonight. Don't forget to leave the milk and cookies mixed with a bit of love and cheer.
Another legend says that animals are known to speak on Christmas Eve. The roots of this legend are mixed but the story goes that all cattle will get up and kneel before the Christmas star. Others say that the animals surrounding the christ child were talking and singing, only stopping when the shepherds arrived. If you go out to the barn tonight or sit with your pets, maybe listen very closely and you can hear them speak to you for this one night only.
Tonight is a reminder of all of the blessings that we have received throughout the year and a time to remember that magic is found simply inside your own heart. May you have a fire to keep you warm, food prepared by caring hands, and the comfort of loved ones beside you.
From our heart to yours...Merry Christmas!
