    Market update for WNC

Prices are on the rise so today, I wanted to throw Henderson county in the mix as well. Henderson county has a lower threshold to entry making it a more affordable location than Buncombe county while still being with a 30 minute drive to everything that Asheville has to offer.

Hendersonville is also a really cute town with a main thoroughfare similar to Broadway/Biltmore Ave. in downtown Asheville. It is very walkable with a lot of great restaurants and shops. They also have a ton of festivals every year, parks and green spaces, and it is very close to the Dupont Forest with some of the best mountain biking and hiking in the area.

Average home prices are still on the rise. Here is where they stand this week:

    Buncombe county: $623,323
    Asheville: $655,852
    Henderson county: $527,702

As you can see, Hendersonville can be a more affordable option to get you your mountain dream home.

Inventory is evenly placed and holding steady in all locales at 2.2 months.

Days on market is also holding steady with 35, 33, and 34 days respectively.

For sellers, on average you can expect to receive 96.4% of list price in Buncombe county, 96.3% in Asheville, and 97.3% in Henderson county.

It is still a strong seller's market and homes are going fast. Remember, that the lower the price point, the shorter the days on market, so you will need to move quickly, especially for homes priced under 400K.

Also, if you are looking for a more affordable home, consider some of the outlying towns. They have a lot to offer and are just a stone's throw to Asheville.

Enjoy your day and let's find you a beautiful place to call home!
