Highlighting Asheville area suburbs; Arden, NC
Arden, North Carolina is an unincorporated community located in Southern Buncombe County. The community is vibrant and faster paced than some of its counterparts. It is a very family friendly area located in a section of Asheville that has many economic opportunities.
Arden is liked by families because it has the majority of your well known commercial names here. Shopping and dining are very easy and everything is right at your fingertips. It is also one of the closest communities to the airport making it a convenient suburb for commuters and part-time homeowners.
Arden is also one of the newer suburbs for development so you will find a lot of subdivisions here with tree lined streets and sidewalks. There is also the nicest major shopping center, Biltmore Park Town Square, with its own high end shops, restaurants, movie theater, YMCA, and residential district where you can choose from a "flat" style urban condo all the way up to luxury mountain estates.

Living Here
Arden has one of the highest concentrations of schools, both public and private, in the area so finding a school close to home is fairly easy. If you are looking for private school education, check out Carolina Day School or Christ School, both popular choices in this suburb.
There are also a ton of restaurants (think...P.F. Changs, 12 Bones, Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack), any shopping that you can think of and all manner of daily conveniences and services.
If you like easy living with short drives to places that you go everyday then Arden would be a good choice. Just keep in mind, that everyone else thinks so too so traffic is fairly busy.
If Arden is a bit too busy for your taste, the town of Fletcher is a short 7 minute drive further south and presents many options for both suburban and country living.
Enjoy your day!
